A member and past president of the Cowboy Artists of America, The most prestigious organization for western art in the world. Born in Hutchinson Kansas, and schooled in southern California, Gary graduated with honors from the renowned Art Center College of Design.
Garys love of the West and it's vast subject matter and his attention to authenticity and detail has made him one of the most sought after western artists of today.
Gary was officially adopted into the crow tribe in June of 1991. He was welcomed into the Big Lodge Clan of the Real Bird Family. His Indian name is Eagle Man.
Enjoying fly-fishing, mountain man rendezvous, cattle roundups and pack trips has kept his art vital. His hobby of street rodding keeps him sane.
Gary collects books and western memorabilia. His studio is in his home overlooking Hebgen Lake, Near the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park, one of his favorite subjects to paint.
